Medical Roleplay
1. General Overview
Roleplaying injuries enhances immersion and can make scenes way more exciting. You are free to go into medical details (while respecting rules) if you're comfortable with it. If you're unsure or unfamiliar, that's is also fine, just roleplay at a level that feels natural to you.
If your character is injured, you must roleplay the effects realistically, such as limping or showing pain. Don’t ignore or downplay injuries as this falls under Fail RP. Using /me's and playing out your injuries can greatly help EMS with treating your injuries and giving you the right medical care.
2. Downed Staged
When get "downed", you typically fall into Stage 1 and gradually transition into Stage 2. In both stages, you should be using your /me's to describe your actions and condition, this helps EMS a ton and also allows for greater medical scenes.
- Stage 1: This is the conscious or semi-conscious state, where your character is still alive but could be severely injured. They may also be unconscious depending on the extent of the injuries. If unconscious, they shouldn't be able to speak.
- Stage 2: Is referred to as the "dead state". Once your character reaches this stage, they are effectively dead or completely knockedout, your character should not speak. This is unless EMS has arrived and started treating you while you were stage 1.
When taking the local doctor after a stage 2 or when EMS did not show up and you go into stage 2, you're character must not be able to remember what happened 30 minutes prior
